I finished the book last week! I absolutely loved it🙏 I couldn't put it down and stayed up late to read it. So many powerful tools and concepts in it. I took notes in my journal, it got me thinking outside of my 'auto-pilot' and get taking action on an idea I put off for years, like 5-10 years down the road to even start looking into it now. I plan to reread and take the time to do the exercises in the next few weeks and make my plans to stay after my goals!!It is a quick read, to the point, and loved the stories he shares to really put things into perspective. Loved his no-nonsense, take responsibility attitude too. You will talk away wanting to take even one step of action, like you need to stop what you are doing in your regular day to day to start moving forward towards a goal or multiple goals! I haven't eaten up a book like this in months, and I buy a non-fiction/self help/personal development book at least once a month or multiple ones and have not had one like this that I could not put down in a while It is a no-brainer to me to get this book if you are feeling stuck in any area of life to learn how to move forward!!

Since first hearing Antonio speak to a group many years ago I’ve followed his work via blog posts and podcasts. I heard Antonio's interview with Light Watkins and decided to buy his book - having grown up in the 70s and 80s with some obvious differences, there were certain expectations I could relate to as well as the extreme disappointment when things failed. Just like Antonio, I've had life peaks and valleys, where I have achieved a certain goal - I went in the Army where career advancement was a pretty straight line. Getting out and going to college, I continued with these expectations but then fell hard for example when my best in one job was not good enough in another job (which I had hoped would lead to my dream job but had to start over again). I've had success with networking a great job just for it to fall through (see above) and I've overshot my networking efforts with certain key people. I've been the dreaded 'desperate' many times - I now have empathy for those who are in it because many times we are avoided! I've dealt with friends and family having a difficult time with my career decisions (which is one great reason for investing in a coach to help you through this resistance). I postponed a career goal for a relationship but now am working towards getting on that path even though I am on the cusp of 50. I am doing the daily checklist at the end of the book, adding "moving the ball" towards my goals (somedays are small moves but something). Books like this are a huge help in not only providing motivation but also steps and human stories most normal people can understand. Anyone can take something from this book but Gen Xers will probably profit the most since many of us may be able to relate to his experience. I do plan on leaving this out for hopefully my other half to get inspired!
